Cosmic – UI/UX Designer (Fall 2018 - Present)

Cosmic is a social impact creative agency. We empower organizations, social enterprises, and entrepreneurs to catalyze real-world change. We create delightful & inspiring brands, activating campaigns, and captivating digital experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Branding & identity design, marketing, social media, and email campaigns

  • Front-end web design (from initial content strategy, sitemapping & wireframing to final product)

  • Brand awareness campaigns for compelling brands, and revolutionary thinkers

  • Assist in strategic planning, and branding workshops


Waltz Creative – Contract Graphic Designer (Spring 2018)

Waltz Creative (formerly Schipper Design) is a graphic design and web design agency, specializing in marketing and branding projects in various industries, from agriculture to medtech.

Responsibilities:

  • Developed marketing and branding projects

  • Created ad campaigns, print collateral, and tradeshow signage

  • Collaborated with a team of designers, and worked closely with project managers and the CEO/Creative Director, on everything from proposal writing to final designs and campaigns


Sleepless Media – Designer/Marketing Coordinator (2016 - 2017)

Sleepless Media is a web design company specializing in responsive web design and ecommerce Shopify sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Front-end web design, primarily for ecommerce (Shopify) sites

  • Assisted with overall marketing efforts, branding projects, print projects, content writing, social media, logo design, illustration, iconography, wireframing, and front-end web design

  • Helped manage all Sleepless Media’s social media accounts, blog, and portfolio pages

  • Organized client meetings, client trainings, and assisted in drafting sales proposals, and estimates

  • Worked closely with CEO on business development, and managing client and vendor relationships

  • Acted as a voice for our company within the community, answered client inquiries, and orchestrating community events


Westminster Promotions – Design Project Manager (2014 - 2015)

Westminster Promotions specializes in graphic design, web projects, and promotional branded merchandise.

Responsibilities:

  • Managed employee workload, scheduling of design teams daily tasks, and monitored quarterly goals

  • Coordinated meetings and client presentations

  • Managed timelines, budgets, project estimation, and invoicing

  • Identified new vendors, maintained relationships with current vendors, current clients, and prospect clients

  • Managed email marketing and social media campaigns, coordinated events, and helped monitor sales opportunities


Mission Bicycle Co. – Marketing Coordinator / Graphic Designer (2013 - 2014)

Mission Bicycle Company builds custom bicycles, and offers unique bespoke products to their online customers and in-person shoppers in their brick and mortar store.

Responsibilities:

  • Sourced new products, and developed, and maintained relationships with vendors

  • Created marketing campaigns for new products, and curated photography for ongoing marketing and social media needs

  • Created designs for web and printed marketing materials

  • Managed email marketing, daily social media posts, special projects and events

  • Assisted in retail customer service (both online and in-person)


Philadelphia Mural Arts Program – Project Coordinator: Structure & Surface (2012 - 2013)

A special project of the Philadelphia Mural Arts Program, aiming to bridge the manufacturing industry of the 19th and 20th century with artists and designers of today. Artists-in-residence worked with long-established textile companies, to develop proposals for public art, in order to showcase this once thriving industry, and the importance of its role in Philadelphia’s heritage.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinated advisory committee, and team meetings

  • Prepared presentation materials, and managed project documentation

  • Facilitated project correspondence to help foster open communication between artists, and manufacturers

  • Maintained blog and web presence, along with meeting notes, articles, research, and artists’ stories


Philly Works – Co-Organizer (2011 - 2012)

Philly Works was an online database, exhibition, and a publication, which aimed to empower creative individuals and industries in Philadelphia to collaborate and create partnerships, in order to create new projects that foster dialogue and positive change.

Responsibilities:

  • Helped to create an online database of local designer/makers, a tool for communication and collaboration

  • Coordinated marketing initiatives, events, and managed submissions for exhibition

  • Developed, and promoted a series of lectures, workshops, and exhibitions based on the theme “Qualities of Life”

  • Helped film a documentary series on artists/makers, and the spaces in which they work


GRID Magazine – Freelance Writer (2011 - 2012)

GRID Magazine is a free publication focused on sustainability in the city of Philadelphia.

Responsibilities:

  • Contributed monthly articles, and created the 2011 Holiday Gift Guide, which included uncovering the best high-quality locally-made items and eco-friendly gifts, in order to promote the support of local manufacturers and small businesses


Dynomighty Design – Contract Designer (2011 - 2012)

Dynomighty is a Brooklyn-based design firm, famous for soft goods made entirely of 100% recycled Tyvek.

Responsibilities:

  • Developed an entirely new eco-friendly product line (laptop sleeves, iPad cases, new wallet designs, and bags)

  • Researched and sourced new materials for the team to work with for future pattern-making, and prototyping of soft goods


Philebrity – Freelance Editor/Ad Sales & Marketing (2011)

Philebrity is Philadelphia’s daily source for gossip, tips, and insider info on Philly nightlife and the local food & drink scene.

Responsibilities

  • Managed ad campaigns, schedules, and budgeting

  • Contributed to daily news story posts, and articles about the local food scene, including interviews, restaurant reviews


Better Blocks Philly – Design Coordinator (2010)

Better Blocks Philly was an unprecedented community-driven design demonstration project taking place during DesignPhiladelphia. Together, the South of South Street Neighborhood Association, along with design firms, WRT, and Brown & Keener, aimed to use pop-up placemaking tactics to help foster a more pleasant, and safe pedestrian environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Spearheaded, and coordinated a community-driven design demonstration, with weeklong events during the design festival

  • Facilitated collaboration between local community organizations, architects, and urban planners to develop, and construct a functioning exhibition of “complete streets” concepts (temporary traffic-calming, streetscape installations, and pop-ups events)


Brown & Keener Urban Design – Designer  (2009 - 2010)

Brown & Keener (now a division of RBA Architects) was an urban planning firm in Philadelphia, working with local cities, organizations, businesses, and neighborhood groups to initiate “creative placemaking,” and urban design solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Created marketing materials and microsites for multiple urban design and planning projects in various phases of work

  • Coordinated community events, press releases, email newsletters, and social media blasts

  • Managed budgets, and timelines, and worked as a liaison between our team, and community organizations


Bloomfield & Associates Architects – Marketing / Business Development Director (2008 - 2009)

Bloomfield Associates was an architecture firm in Philadelphia, specializing in residential, and commercial architecture.

Responsibilities:

  • Helped identify new project opportunities and RFPs, and generate proposals for those opportunities

  • Facilitated communication between the company, partnering firms, and clients
