Oceankind, a new philanthropic model and emerging funder in the Ocean Conservation and Innovation, needed a new brand and message to reveal publicly and to communicate their vision.

New Hampshire Community Loan Fund had evolved to be more than just a financial institution, and needed a more modern brand, that helps communicate their services and values. We also developed a new website and digital presence that helps their borrowers find the resources they need, and helps potential investors and donors understand value of what they do and the communities they serve. The owner of a sensory play based pediatric therapy businesses noticed many challenges that parents and the general community were facing: long wait lists for therapy and evaluation, and the need for general support, resources, and advice, which is typically fragmented across social media, bloggers, podcasts, and other various sources.

There is no single place for parents, especially those of neurodivergent children, to go, to get real, valuable, credible help, resources, support, and networking. This parenting and community app was a vision for a single place for parents to connect, learn, and refuel. All work was created at Design by Cosmic.

Renton Parks and Rec is one of the most public-facing and friendly parts of their city government, and they were looking for a bold visual identity to distinguish themselves from other divisions, in order to help people understand all of the important services they provide beyond parks and trails.

We leaned into the theme of human’s connection to nature, and brought that essence into their brand extension, with illustrations, social media graphics, additional marketing collateral, and sub-brands. All work was created at Design by Cosmic.

Elkhorn Slough is one of the last protected wetlands on California’s central coast – a nature and research preserve that encompasses over 4,200 acres. Having produced their admissions offer packets in-house for many years, the UC Santa Cruz (UCSC) Admissions Department came to us looking for our outside perspective and experience using design, imagery, and copywriting to effectively create emotional engagement and market the UCSC experience to prospective students, both in print and online.

Print materials were designed to convince students who have received multiple offers to choose UCSC. The Admissions Department is now equipped with a completely new, and positively focused asset library and visual structure to attract new, transfer, and international students.

Cause Strategy Partners connects a diverse network of talented professionals to nonprofit board service opportunities. We created a new logo and website, as well as marketing collateral, social media graphics, and other brand assets to help them carry forth their mission to bring quality board service to nonprofits that need it. Kan Herb services seasoned Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners and trained herbalists all over the US. This improved ecommerce and customer service experience includes ways for practitioners to access their favorite products, place orders on behalf of their customers, and make specific herbal recommendations. Our work with the BridgeCare team resulted in a super robust site and digital experience that accommodates their solutions and surfaces the variety of modules central to their product offering. Fin was built to give people access to data about their behaviors to help them feel more fulfilled, be more productive, and experience less stress. This project encompassed everything from initial naming of the product, branding of the parent company, as well as logo design, and full UI/UX design for the entire app. I worked directly with the founder of the company and head of development as a thought partner and lead designer.

After 5o years advocating for reproductive health, rights, and justice in religious communities the Religious Community for Reproductive Choice (RCRC) had undergone a name change and was ready to express their role in the ecosystem as an organization focused on being a support system for religious and spiritual people.

We created a design system that brings their visual language into the modern era, along with a captivating new brand identity. The visual identity is bold, welcoming, and strong. Paired with distinctive messaging, the overall brand is one of optimism, support, and inclusion. All work was created at Design by Cosmic.

From 2011-2012 I was a coordinator of “Philly Works” – a collective of artists, makers and fabricators all open and willing to collaborate on projects surrounding the theme “Qualities of Life” in Philadelphia. We created a website which housed a database of all of the creatives involved, their contact info, and their interests and aspirations for potential collaboration. Those involved formed partnerships & connections in order to collaborate and complete projects in preparation for a gallery exhibition in Fall of 2012.

The exhibition was held as part of Design Philadelphia, an annual design festival, at the Art Alliance near Rittenhouse Square. A mix of projects emerged from these collaborations, having to do with climate action, sustainable foods, urban design & streetscapes, education, and the unique artist & maker culture in the city.

A pop-up placemaking project planned in coordination with the City of Philadelphia and the Streets Dept. and various landscape architecture and architecture firms.

Logo Design for Aero Events, an events company based out of a Sarasota hangar space in Sarasota, Florida. They accommodate corporate gatherings, product launches, and other celebrations, in a venue that offers the perfect blend of style, versatility, and wow-factor.

A collaboration with Rebar Design Studio in San Francisco to revitalize Latham Square in Oakland, CA using urban intervention initiatives to communicate desired outcomes from the community. Tactical urbanism methods were used to communicate these ideas, including a pop up park, and other temporary streetscape beautification methods.
